Biography:
David’s extensive career as a technical and marketing executive in the aerospace hi-tech industry was transformed in many ways after he was a care-giver for 8 years of his wife of 44 years died. He started authoring his earlier career memoirs in the last stages of her life while she was in ICU in a comma and he was at her side for extended time periods. While being a care-giver he had to leave full-time employment and become a consultant on “as allowed” time basis without the requirement for travel and extended work days. This allowed him to expand his already diverse industrial background into the solar and fossil fuel energy, aquaculture, communications, and Information Technology sectors. Here, he started and operated Venture Capital companies as well as consulting on government funded investigations and reporting on international technical and business related activities. He still is an active Managing Member of the Honey Money LLC that has holdings in a multi energy resource property in KY while he devotes the majority of his efforts to selling his screen play adaptation of his novel “Gigolo and the Gold Digger”. His plans for the future include adaptation and sales of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics positive review of his semi-factual novel “Not Invented Here” to a screen play as well as authoring and publishing a sequel.

Topic: Spirituality, Inspirational, Life Principles, Religious Aspects, Biography

How it influenced my life: This book has influenced his life greatly while he was a person born, but not practicing Judaism, and searching for a closer relationship with GOD. After being led to the LORD he became, and is still a Messianic Jew that daily studies and tries to live up to the precepts of this book.

Title: Principals of Management
Author: Peter Drucker

Topic: Business

How it influenced my life: These non-fiction works became the entrée into David’s career in Technical Management after his early days as a Naval Aviator and later an aerospace engineer. He finds that all of his life’s activities benefit from one or more principals of these works.

Title: The Gigolo and the Gold Digger
Author: David I. Shapiro

Topic: Romance

How it influenced my life: A semi factual story about widowed seniors finding love and some members of their families guileful schemes to sabotage the romance. Includes those that ’don’t want to lose their live-in grandma baby sitter’ and those that ‘don’t want to share grandpa’s inheritance’. This book has changed me in so many ways, even though I wrote it, when I re-read it, it gave me a new spring in my step. My friends all tell me they enjoy the message, you are never too old for love.

How it influenced my life: A Very interesting read. These works supply the rounding of my knowledge base in writing novels and screen plays.

Title: SPACE
Author: James A Michner

Topic: History, Business

How it influenced my life: This novel started him on writing career. Being in the aerospace industry and a contributor to the Apollo proposal; he studied Michner’s works with the intent of gaining additional knowledge of the background of this initiative as well as learning the basics of the genre of Roman a’ clef - factual fiction.
